Creating Better Days with

As Kellanova celebrates 100 years of Kellogg’s® in Australia, the company’s commitment to creating Better Days for our people, planet and communities remains stronger than ever.

Kellanova’s Better Days™ Promise is our commitment to advance sustainable and equitable access to food by addressing the intersection of wellbeing, hunger, sustainability, and equity, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) for 4 billion people by the end of 2030.

In Australia, the company is passionate about partnering with Aussie farmers who have been a key part of its 100-year history in Australia.

Over the last century Kellogg’s® cereals have been made right here in Sydney, NSW Australia, with the brand carefully crafting iconic foods like Nutri-Grain®, Just Right® and Sustain® for Aussie taste buds, with Aussie ingredients.

Of the 42 million tonnes of cereal produced each year from the Australian factory the vast majority are made with high-quality Aussie ingredients, including the “original and best” Kellogg’s® Corn Flakes which has been made with Aussie corn for 100 years.

For the past 100 years Kellogg’s® Corn Flakes has been made with the simple goodness of Aussie grown corn – raised and ripened in the sunshine.

Sustainable Agriculture

To help ensure the company can continue sourcing from Aussie farmers long into the future, Kellonova proudly joined forces with other industry and agricultural leaders and researchers in 2020 with the Cool Soil Initiative.

The Cool Soil Initiative is a ‘soil to spoon’ partnership involving almost 200 wheat, corn and canola farmers across eastern Australia, covering 187,000 hectares of agricultural land. The program is focused on reducing farm greenhouse gas emissions and future-proofing farmers crops against climate change.

Sustainable Production and Packaging

Kellanova’s commitment to sustainability extends throughout its entire business including how it makes, packages, and sells its food around the country.

By the end of 2025 all Australian packaging will be recycle-ready, and we continue to optimise how we package our foods to ensure we only use what is needed.

Within our own facilities, we are focused on reducing our demand on natural resources to make our foods.

Since 2015 we have saved 145 million litres of water in our plant, and since 2018 we have been offsetting 100% of our electricity with renewable energy though a Power Purchase Agreement with a solar farm in NSW.

We’re also working with our logistics partners to ensure we ship our products to customers across the country in the most sustainable way possible.
