Milo Brownies

An easy and delicious recipe to make with the kid’s these school holidays!


210g dark chocolate, chopped
250g butter, chopped
300g brown sugar
4 eggs
35g cocoa powder, sifted
185g plain flour, sifted
1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
40g milo


Preheat oven to 160°C.

Place the chocolate and butter in a double boiler saucepan over low heat and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

Place the sifted flour, sugar, eggs, cocoa, baking powder and milo into a bowl. Add the melted chocolate mixture and stir until combined.

Pour mixture into a 20cm square slice tin (either greased or lined with non-stick baking paper).

Bake for 45-50 minutes or until an inserted skewer withdraws clean.

Allow to cool slightly in the tin before slicing and enjoy warm or cold.
